Human Manager Academy Community Guidelines
Welcome to the Human Manager Academy (HMA) Community!
We're thrilled to have you join our vibrant community of like-minded leaders who are committed to personal and professional growth. To ensure a positive, educational, enjoyable, and safe space for all members, we've established these Community Guidelines.
Our shared values:
- Respect: Treat all members with kindness, courtesy, and consideration. Value diverse perspectives and experiences, even if they differ from your own.
- Authenticity: Be yourself. Share your thoughts, experiences, and challenges openly and honestly.
- Vulnerability: Embrace vulnerability as a strength. Create a safe space for others to share their struggles and seek support.
- Growth mindset: Be open to learning, feedback, and new ideas. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
- Belonging: Foster a sense of community and inclusivity where everyone feels welcome and valued.
Community Expectations
-
Be Respectful in Your Communication: We're all about creating a safe and inclusive space where everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and experiences. This means using kind, considerate, and inclusive language in all your interactions. Avoid personal attacks, insults, offensive comments, or any language that could be demeaning or discriminatory. Remember, we're here to support each other, not tear each other down.
-
Share Constructively: When participating in discussions or forums, aim to contribute in a way that's helpful, insightful, and supportive. Share your experiences, offer advice, ask thoughtful questions, and provide constructive feedback. Let's create a learning environment where everyone feels valued and encouraged to grow.
-
Respect Confidentiality: We understand that vulnerability is key to growth, and we encourage you to share openly within the community. However, it's crucial to respect the confidentiality of personal information shared by other members. What's shared in the HMA stays in the HMA.
-
Embrace Different Perspectives: We all come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and that's what makes our community so rich. Be open to hearing different viewpoints, even if they challenge your own. Engage in respectful dialogue, listen actively, and be willing to learn from others.
-
No Spam or Self-Promotion: We're here to learn, grow, and connect as human-centered leaders. Keep the focus on those goals. Avoid excessive self-promotion, spam, or irrelevant content that distracts from the community's purpose.
-
Maintain a Positive and Supportive Tone: Let's create a culture of encouragement and support. Celebrate each other's successes, offer a helping hand during challenges, and maintain a positive and uplifting tone in all your interactions.
Unacceptable Behaviour
-
Harassment or bullying: Any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, offensive comments based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other personal attribute.
-
Offensive Language or Content: Maintain a respectful and professional tone in all your communications. Avoid using profanity, hate speech, or any language that could be considered offensive, discriminatory, or harmful to others.
-
Personal Attacks: Focus on ideas and behaviours, not on attacking or criticising individuals personally. Disagreements are natural, but let's address them constructively and respectfully.
-
Spam or Irrelevant Content: Keep posts and comments relevant to the HMA community and its purpose of leadership development and human-centred management. Avoid posting spam, promotional materials, or content that is off-topic or disruptive.
-
Violation of Confidentiality: Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information about other members without their explicit consent.
Consequences of Violating the Guidelines
-
Warning: A first-time violation may result in a warning from the HMA team, reminding you of the community guidelines and expectations.
-
Temporary Suspension: Repeated or serious violations may result in temporary suspension from the community, limiting your access to certain features or the entire platform for a specified period.
-
Permanent Ban: Severe or persistent violations, including but not limited to harassment, hate speech, or sharing confidential information, may result in a permanent ban from the HMA community.
